What does a hospital Chaplain’s time look like? How do the spiritual and the religious needs of the hospital world connect to the church? What does it mean to be inclusive in a multi faith environment and be Christian? Here we will discuss the ordinary day of the hospital Chaplain from rounds and statistical reports to healing, hope, death and the life of the household of God in the world.

Light

My holidays give me so much light. And where I stay tells a tale of so much diverse life in the light. My bed and breakfast is beautiful and faces the boardwalk of the beach. But it is not isolated. Beside the B&B is a place called Phoenix house which is a place for men to stay as they recover from addiction. And beside that is the “Shul on the Beach”. Continue reading

I was alarmed when it was decided that a Wiccan Chaplain was inappropriate and not needed. My alarm increased when the decision-making around the fact to let go of part time chaplains in corrections was financially led without discernment into the fact that most were non Christian.
