It is a beautiful Easter Sunday, bright and sunny and warm where I live. And it’s a beautiful day spiritually – last night and this morning our churches have been full of people delighted to celebrate the resurrection.
And now that church is over, it’s a time for family, for feasting, and (for clergy) post-litugical naps (AKA the sacred Sunday faceplant, hymns in the key of Zzzz, the divine crash, &c.).
So I suspect that this Sunday evening many of us are a little tired – from overindulging in a feast, from countless high-energy services, from assisting the Easter Bunny to hide those eggs last night – so I invite us all to write this week’s blog. I propose that we use this space, this week, for prayer. They can be short, they can be long, they can be whatever is in our hearts.
What are you praying for this Easter?

I would like to pray for my family to remain in good health, particularly to my dad who suffered a critical illness a few weeks ago. I would also like to pray in general for world peace. Also that we can get along better in the world that we’re living in and lastly for myself for over the last few years I’ve experienced family loss and uncertainty. Amen.
